  • Provide real-time technical support to assemblers/operators and inspectors.
  • Participate on corrective action teams and support root cause/corrective action investigations.

Manufacturing Engineers develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying products and manufacturing methods. They provide engineering and manufacturing support expertise to enable on-time, lowest cost hardware delivery with performance and reliability that exceed customer expectations. They execute across all phases of a program including proposal capture, process development, transition to production, and production support. Manufacturing Engineers design, control, and improve the manufacturing process and associated documentation/instructions through a collaborative effort with the value stream team. You would apply your experience and skills to implement improvements that reduce cycle time and cost and improve productivity, while maintaining a high level of safety in the manufacturing environment and quality within the product.

What You Will Do
  • Ability to work cross functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, test, and design to implement robust processes.
  • Review and validate recommendations regarding manufacturability of existing and future products and advise modifications or adaptations to address quality, customer, product, or productivity constraints.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using CORE principles and data driven decision making.
  • Provide real-time technical support to assemblers/operators and inspectors.
  • Participate on corrective action teams and support root cause/corrective action investigations.
Qualifications

You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 0-2 years of prior relevant experience. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE) and/or simulation tools
  • Experience/familiarity with Manufacturing/Enterprise Resource Planning (MRP/ERP) tools and systems (ie PRISM/SAP)
  • Experience/familiarity with Manufacturing Shop Floor Management tools and systems (ie cMES)
  • Experience/familiarity with Product Data Management tools and systems (ie Windchill/PDM)

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
