Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Housing Cell at RMS Sikorsky’s Stratford, CT facility. The role focuses on developing manufacturing processes to move parts from raw material to finished asset, including writing work instructions and supporting production on the shop floor.

You will apply SPC, data analytics, and engage with Operations, Quality, and other Engineering teams. Occasional off-shifts or weekend work may be required to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Experience with metal machining (aluminum and/or magnesium preferred).
• 2-D and 3-D modelling experience (CATIA or 3DExperience preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes to bring a part from raw material to finished asset, including work instruction authoring.
• Evaluate durable and perishable tooling and inspect part defects.
• Use SPC and quality data to drive data-informed decisions.
• Support production on the shop floor and liaise with Operations, Quality, and other Engineering teams.
• Occasional off-shifts or weekend work may be required to support production schedules.
