Job summary

LeoLabs is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to bridge engineering and production for radar hardware. You’ll design scalable manufacturing processes, create documentation, and liaise with contract manufacturers to ensure manufacturability and quality.

The role focuses on PCBAs, electromechanical assemblies, and production readiness. You’ll lead DFM reviews, develop tooling and workflows, support prototypes, and drive continuous improvements across manufacturing functions in a fast-paced aerospace

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline; Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing preferred.
5+ years supporting manufacture of complex electronic/electromechanical products.
Knowledge of DFM principles for PCBAs and mechanical assemblies.
Experience enabling NPI from prototype to production.
Familiarity with PCB fabrication, SMT, panelization, IPC standards, and electronics manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Lead DFM reviews throughout hardware development lifecycle.
Develop manufacturing processes, work instructions, and assembly docs for complex radar hardware.
Interface between Hardware Engineering and contract manufacturers.
Support prototype builds and guide products into production (NPI).
Collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain to ensure doc accuracy and readiness.
Develop tooling, fixtures, inspection methods, and workflows.
Drive root cause investigations and continuous improvements across manufacturing.
