Job summary

A cutting-edge energy startup in Austin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design and launch manufacturing lines for innovative battery storage systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create efficient manufacturing processes and develop high-quality equipment. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience, a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and proficiency in CAD software like AutoCAD and SolidWorks. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your role may evolve based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a hands-on Mechanical/Manufacturing/Design Engineer working on mechanical and/or electromechanical systems.
  • Experience with automated functional testing and DC fastening tools.
  • Ability to manage suppliers through the design and installation of equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop equipment, fixtures, and processes for high-volume production.
  • Design efficient production workstation layouts and conduct process analysis.
  • Create detailed manufacturing instructions and documentation for training technicians.

Skills

5+ years of experience as a hands-on Mechanical/Manufacturing/Design Engineer
Experience using 2D CAD tools (AutoCAD)
3D design experience (SolidWorks or CATIA)
Experience with robotic systems
Knowledge of GD&T

Education

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
