Technique, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Jackson, Michigan facility to design, develop, test, and improve mechanical components and systems.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to deliver safe, cost-efficient, and manufacturable solutions that meet customer and business needs. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and has 2–7 years of experience in mechanical or design engineering, preferably in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–7 years of mechanical or design engineering experience (manufacturing/industrial env preferred).
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks) and GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with product design, equipment design, or tooling/fixture design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems from concept through production.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software according to standards.
• Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
• Support prototyping, testing, validation, and design verification activities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot design, manufacturing, or field issues and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs, specifications, and change requests.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Support NPI and engineering change processes.
• Work with suppliers and vendors on design and technical requirements.
