Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. seeks a Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer at the Orange, VA site.

This center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development drives high‑complexity production programs near Culpeper, Orange County. The role involves supervising and mentoring, performing manufacturing engineering tasks, and ensuring safety and quality through PFMEAs, MBOMs, and PFMEA-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 4 years of manufacturing engineering experience; graduate degree with minimum 2 years; or 8 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong problem solving and written/verbal communication skills are preferred.
• Experience interpreting technical requirements from drawings and specifications; experience in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Support modernization and automation of production facilities.
• Identify defects, perform root cause investigations, and conduct PFMEAs.
• Develop and maintain process instructions, MBOMs, PHA, and JSA.
• Assist in process tooling development and design reviews.
• Travel up to 5% may be required.
• Ability to obtain a US security clearance.
