Job summary

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF) invites undergraduate engineering students to join our Pryor, OK site for a hands-on internship focused on plant trials, troubleshooting, and process support.

You will work alongside engineers to document experiments and analyze data, gaining exposure to food ingredients technology and safety practices. This on-site role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and practical learning in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate pursuing a BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • This program is not designed for BS degree graduates or graduate students.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities are required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel) is preferred.

  • Support engineers in executing plant trials and troubleshooting production issues.
  • Write experimental outlines, execute and report findings.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to manufacturing.

Where You’ll Make a Difference
  • Provide support to engineers in executing plant trials and troubleshooting daily production and maintenance issue
  • Write experimental outlines, execute and report findings
  • Provide administrative and technical support to manufacturing
  • Provide capital project support and process design Process Safety Management
  • Some shift work may be required
What Makes You the Right Fit
  • Must be able to work safe and comply with all corporate/site SHE guidelines and policies
  • Comply with guidelines established by education facility’s career services center
  • Currently enrolled undergraduate as a sophomore, junior or senior working toward receiving a BS degree in an Engineering field, preferably Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical
  • Program is NOT designed for BS degreed or graduate level students
  • Good interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written); able to contribute in a team oriented environment
  • Proficient with MS Office package (specifically Word and Excel)
How Would You Stand Out?
  • Food industry experience
  • Continuous Improvement/Six Sigma exposure
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (Cumulative and Major)
  • Possess strong math and statistical background and a technical aptitude for unit operations
