Job summary

FPD Company in McMurray, PA, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize CNC machining processes for titanium aerospace components, create CAD/CAM programs, and review designs for manufacturability.

You will collaborate with machining teams, support quoting, and pursue continuous improvement to enhance productivity and quality in a high-performance environment, delivering precision parts for demanding aerospace applications worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong CNC programming and machining experience in precision manufacturing.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and machining process development.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, machining strategies, and tooling optimization.
• Understanding of GD&T.
• Experience with CREO is a plus.

What You'll Do

• Develop and optimize CNC machining processes for complex titanium aerospace components.
• Create 3D models and CAD/CAM programs using simulation software to ensure efficient, accurate, and cost-effective manufacturing.
• Review product designs and specifications for manufacturability, quality, and compliance with customer requirements.
• Partner with machining teams to develop tooling and fixturing solutions that support production goals and project timelines.
• Support customer quoting activities through process planning and manufacturing expertise.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance productivity, quality, and operational performance.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong CNC programming and machining experience, preferably in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and machining process development.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, machining strategies, and tooling optimization.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with CREO software is a plus.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and complex manufacturing requirements.
