Job summary

Dynomax Inc. in Wheeling, IL, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer skilled in CNC machining for aerospace applications. The role involves developing end-to-end manufacturing processes, interpreting complex specifications, and creating engineering documents that drive production.

You will collaborate with engineers to implement procedures, maintain traceability, and perform root-cause analysis to optimize orders. A strong background in multi-axis milling/lathe work and GD&T is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a manufacturing engineering role in a heavily documented and specification-centric industry.
• Ability to create and follow standards and engineer solutions.
• SolidWorks proficiency with modeling and drawing.
• Engineering degree in related field.
• Experience with multi-axis milling and lathe turning.
• Experience with Aerospace OEM and Military specifications.
• Experience with Epicor ERP system preferred.
• GD&T proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
• Read and interpret customer and industry specifications.
• Develop the entire manufacturing process: material selection, material treatments, work-holding, machining, finishing processes, etc.
• Develop documents which drive the manufacturing process: drawings, models, assemblies, etc.
• Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
• Maintain proper documentation (traceability, customer requirements…) and complete production routers
• Perform root-cause analysis and develop solutions
• Perform manufacturing analysis on orders

Manufacturing Engineer Job Responsibilities
