Job summary

Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to strengthen its machine shop. The role leads machining and inspection standards, develops fixtures, and optimizes CNC programs (MasterCAM) to meet customer GD&T requirements.

You will own BOMs, nonconformance processes, and process improvement with shop-floor leaders. Requires a BS in an engineering field and at least 4 years in manufacturing; Lean Level I or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials or related).
• Minimum 4 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean Level I or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Own the Machine Shop’s inspection and machining program standards with proper documentation.
• Own drawing creation, revision, and archival for specimens and fixtures in SolidWorks.
• Review customer drawings to confirm GD&T can be met.
• Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC programs (MasterCAM) with machinists on setup and tooling.
• Maintain, update, and troubleshoot inspection equipment programs and measurement discrepancies.
• Create procedures for set-up and operations of complex specimens.
• Design and specify fixtures and tooling for repeatable setups.
• Assist with shop workflow and cell layout to reduce cycle time.
• Maintain BOMs for fixtures, tooling, and recurring jobs.
• Own nonconformance process (MINCE) and review nonconforming specimens.
