Job summary

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network, delivering fast, reliable internet to customers from households to schools and government agencies. The Manufacturing Engineer will support and resolve production obstacles, specify tools and line equipment, and collaborate with process, quality, and design engineers to improve manufacturing for space hardware.

The role focuses on weekend support (Thu-Sun, 10 hours/day) after onboarding, with on-site work in Redmond, WA.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience supporting production of space hardware preferred.

Key job responsibilities

This position will exclusively support Weekend Shift (Thursday-Sunday, 10 hours/day) after an on-boarding period of weekday support.

A day in the life

As a Manufacturing Engineer this person will be supporting the technician team by resolving any obstacles and working with responsible engineers to disposition non-conformances. This individual will work closely with engineering teams in specifying and building or procuring tools and line equipment for Amazon Leo hardware builds. The successful candidate has some basic experience in supporting production of space hardware through development, QTP (qualification test procedures), and flight hardware ATP (acceptance test procedures).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
