Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for Trainium Manufacturing, Quality and Reliability in the Austin area. You will collaborate with ODMs/CMs to ensure testability, quality, and reliability of Trainium-based servers and AI platforms.

You will drive manufacturing processes, implement test methodologies, and work across cross-functional teams to scale from prototype to mass production while optimizing yield and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hardware design and validation in complex systems.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Identify and address manufacturing challenges by enforcing DFM, DFA, and DFS principles.
• Evaluate and introduce new manufacturing technology to improve quality and efficiency at ODMs and CMs.
• Develop manufacturing processes with fixture requirements, test methodology, and power/heat management.
• Drive pre-production to mass production readiness and successful product introduction.
• Lead quality and reliability improvement projects and root-cause analyses for supplier defects.
• Improve first-pass yields and production efficiency from prototype to ramp.
• Coordinate with engineering for smooth New Product Introduction and design changes.
• Support cost reduction and sustaining activities.
