BWXT in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support design, fabrication, process development, and production readiness. You will create 3D models, manufacturing documentation, tooling, and assist with procurement and advanced manufacturing initiatives.

Required: ABET-accredited engineering degree, 7+ years’ experience, CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), and ability to obtain DOE/DOD clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualificações

• ABET-accredited engineering degree is required.
• Minimum 7 years of related engineering experience.
• Knowledge of wiring, mechanical systems, and CAD.
• Experience designing complex electro/mechanical tools or systems.
• Robotics or automation experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• U.S. citizen required.
• DOE or DOD clearance ability; active clearance preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Create 3D design models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Provide engineering support for assembly, testing, and inspection activities.
• Assist with development and qualification of advanced manufacturing technologies and new processes.
• Support prototype and production equipment assembly.
• Generate manufacturing routings, work instructions, and shop floor documentation.
• Write test reports and support qualification documentation.
• Support procurement of mechanical components and control of tooling.
• Provide hands‑on support using shop equipment and tools.
• Inspect and characterize components for process monitoring and improvements.
• Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and test apparatus.
• Support equipment selection, installation, and facility engineering activities.
