Job summary

FOX Factory, Inc. in Georgia seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to plan and coordinate manufacturing processes, develop and improve methods, and run multiple projects with oversight from management and senior engineers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, 3+ years in production, ERP knowledge, and experience with hardware specs, manufacturing quality, and product development. May lift up to 50 lbs in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, evaluates, and enhances manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
  • Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
  • Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished‑product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
  • Provides manufacturing decision‑making by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
  • Co‑ordinates maintenance and repair services; follows manufacturer instructions and established procedures; requests special service to keep equipment operational.
  • Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs; entering data.
  • Completes design and development projects and may train technicians.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Manages 5 to 10 projects concurrently.

Position Summary

NO RELOCATION ASSISTANCEGeorgia Candidates Preferred
Plans and coordinates manufacturing processes. Develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods. Runs projects with some oversight from management and senior engineers.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Manufacturing environment. May lift up to 50 lbs. Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time. Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer.
