DUTIES:
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards for GDI, Tubing, Fan, Fan Drive and ECFD
Performs engineering work related to the design or re-design, manufacture, installation, operation, or maintenance of electronic and mechanical production equipment, to improve manufacturing production
Examines equipment, processes, operations, and assembly to determine time or quality revisions and suggests improvements
Analyzes and determines production methods to produce products and develops processes to ensure quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met
Troubleshoots problems with production and takes corrective action
Conducts an analysis of downtime problems and investigates to determining the manpower/equipment required for the particular situation considering the cost limitations for equipment up/down time, repair/replacement costs, weight, size, and availability of materials/equipment
Exhibits independent decision making and action
Performs other work as assigned
Assist in the maintenance, quality, production control and project engineering departments
Follow company safety and health guidelines and other company policies

QUALIFICATIONS (including educational requirements):
Four-year, accredited degree in Mechanical/Engineering or Mechanical/Engineering Technology or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
Must be able to read and evaluate mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical drawings and technical product specifications
Must be familiar with basic mechanical tools and their use in fabrication, measurement and assembly
Must understand engineering theory and practices
Must be familiar with current mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical design, analysis and verification techniques.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Use of MS Word, Excel and power point
Experience with Auto CAD, Inventor software, math software, PLC programming and database programming
Experience troubleshooting, fabricating and/or repairing machines and mechanical assemblies a plus
Strong math and mechanical skills
Bilingual oral and written skills in English and Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Indian or Spanish are a plus
