Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer in Crookston, MN to join a well-established manufacturing environment. The role focuses on improving processes, reducing waste, and supporting capital upgrades across production cells.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead lean initiatives, and create/maintain standard work instructions while ensuring safety and continuous improvement in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related manufacturing experience.
• Lean certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or UniGraphics.
• Solid Microsoft Office skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering support within assigned production cells.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production and quality goals.
• Lead lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, value stream mapping, setup reduction).
• Implement ECNs and initiate ECRs.
• Design or specify tooling, equipment, and racking solutions.
• Create and maintain Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) and train team members.
• Maintain and update plant layouts, inventory maps, and safety plans.
• Support capital equipment upgrades and facility improvements.
• Participate in daily production meetings and plant performance reviews.
• Conduct process observations to validate time standards and improve efficiency.
• Assist with audits, non-conforming material reviews, and supplier approvals.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork.
