Job summary

POSITION OVERVIEWThe Mechanical Engineer II is the catalyst for technical problem solving and continuous improvement on the manufacturing line. This role works as part of a team dedicated to continuous improvement, implementing and revising processes to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectations.WHAT YOU’LL DO* Monitor production process to improve; product flow, yield, and uptime.* Optimize current equipment and improve process capabilities.* Develop the team to utilize problem solving techniques and methods, and provide leadership in the identification, analysis, and resolution of issues.* Lead continuous improvement efforts within the line support team and manage product and process improvement initiatives on the production line* Identify and implement process improvements to eliminate variation in the production process caused by equipment and/or product design.* Prioritize projects and issues that are associated with the production line using best business practices.* Leverage technical resources to incorporate line improvements and remove barriers.* Represent the production team by interfacing with other departments to ensure that quality and customer requirements are met.
