Job summary

Menasha Corporation is seeking a Process Engineer to plan, oversee, and implement equipment layouts and processes to boost plant efficiency. You will conduct operations studies to maximize workflow and spatial utilization across manufacturing spaces.

Required: Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering/tech field and at least 3 years of experience, with up to 50% domestic/international travel. Candidates should be able to diagnose downtime causes and contribute to cost reduction and quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Eng Tech, Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Travel up to 50% travel – domestic and international.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement process technology to minimize variation and optimize manufacturing, workflow, and plant layout.
  • Analyze equipment layout, cell design, plant layout, workflow, and methods to remove bottlenecks.
  • Support technical teams with root-cause analysis for equipment downtime.
  • Provide technical input and judgment on quality and manufacturing of products.
  • Lead equipment and tool advancements and process improvements.
  • Facilitate and lead continuous improvement activities.
  • Conduct time studies to optimize production capabilities.
  • Manage plant capital improvement projects.
  • Support mold move processes as a technical resource.

About the Opportunity

Plan, identify, oversee the layout of equipment, and implement processes aimed at improving the overall efficiency of plant operations. Conduct studies in operations to maximize workflow and spatial utilization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process technology in the plant to minimize variation and optimize the manufacturing of products, workflow, cell design, & plant layout while reducing costs and removing bottlenecks.
  • Optimize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, cell design, plant layout, workflow, assembly methods and work force utilization and removing bottlenecks.
  • Support the technical teams in finding root cause analysis for equipment downtime.
  • Provide technical skill, knowledge and judgment as it relates to the quality of product being produced.
  • Provide technical input and support in the advancement of equipment and tools.
  • Improve product design and manufacturing regarding quality and cost.
  • Facilitate and execute continuous improvement activities.
  • Conduct time studies to optimize production capabilities.
  • Manage/lead plant capital improvement projects.
  • Support mold move process as a technical resource for internal plants and contract molders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education Required

Bachelor's Degree – Plastics Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering

Experience Required

3 years of relevant work experience

Travel Required

Up to 50% travel – domestic and international

Valid Driver's License
