Job summary

TechDigital Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support NPI transitions into production in Massachusetts. You will design fixtures, develop manufacturing methods for sub-assemblies, and work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.

The role emphasizes hands-on debugging of mechanical and electrical problems, continuous improvement, and documentation in ECO/ECR systems, with a focus on cost reduction and efficiency.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing or NPI experience.
• Ability to understand schematics, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
• Proficient with 3D modeling tools (Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo).
• Experience debugging mechanical and electrical problems.

Responsibilities

• Support activities of the NPI process for transition into manufacturing.
• Design and build fixtures for manufacturing sub-component testing.
• Develop, implement and maintain methods in manufacturing of sub-assemblies.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and 8D problem solving as needed.
• Support internal and external quality processes and corrective actions.
• Reduce production labor and material cost while improving efficiency and utilization.

• Work with outside suppliers on outsourcing activities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to investigate and correct problems as they arise.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience

• Capable of using Inventor or other 3D modeling software (Solidworks/Creo)
• Experience in debugging mechanical and electrical problems
• Demonstrated hands-on experience working and supporting manufacturing
• Ability to respond professionally to common inquiries or complaints from customers, suppliers and peers
