Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. seeks a manufacturing/process engineer to support metal forming operations. The role emphasizes applying advanced engineering principles to improve processes, ensure quality, and optimize tooling design.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in process/manufacturing in metal forming, CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/NX), CAD/ERP familiarity, and strong analytical and communication skills. ITAR and U.S. person status apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, metallurgy or materials science preferred.
• 3+ years of process/manufacturing engineering experience in applying advanced engineering principles in a metal forming manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong tool design experience required
• Aerospace industry experience or exposure preferred.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing methods , concepts, processes, and systems.
• Solid analytical skills and the ability to define and brainstorm solutions to problems.
• Ability to program and operate CNC machines (mill, lathe, EDM) preferred
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 or AS9100 quality standards preferred.
• Working knowledge of CAD software required; SolidWorks and/or NX is preferred.
• Working knowledge of MBD is preferred
• Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred
• Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.

• - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, metallurgy or materials science preferred.
• - 3+ years of process/manufacturing engineering experience in applying advanced engineering principles in a metal forming manufacturing environment is preferred.
• - Strong tool design experience required
• - Aerospace industry experience or exposure preferred.
• - Working knowledge of manufacturing methods , concepts, processes, and systems.
• - Solid analytical skills and the ability to define and brainstorm solutions to problems.
• - Ability to program and operate CNC machines (mill, lathe, EDM) preferred
• - Strong computer skills including MS Office
• - Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• - Ability to function effectively in a team environment, collaborate with other departments, and work independently
• - Training in Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement Tools preferred.
• - Product prototyping, qualification and/or testing experience preferred.
• - Familiarity with ISO 9000 or AS9100 quality standards preferred.
• - Working knowledge of CAD software required; SolidWorks and/or NX is preferred.
