Job summary

Marsh Electronics in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to improve how we manufacture, test, and deliver products. This hands-on role focuses on solving problems, developing practical solutions, and driving improvements that affect safety, quality, cost, delivery, and efficiency.

You will lead process improvement projects, design fixtures and tooling, support new product introduction, and collaborate with production teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure production

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 4–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620, PPAP, ISO 9001, statistics, gauge systems, and GD&T.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, lead improvement projects, and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and Infor ERP.

Responsibilities

  • Support New Product Introduction: assess risk, review quotes, build first articles, ensure production readiness.
  • Improve Manufacturing Processes: design fixtures, troubleshoot issues, and drive safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
  • Lead Engineering Projects: plan and execute Lean, PDCA, DMAIC-based improvements.
  • Support Production: coordinate maintenance, corrective actions, and train staff.

Manufacturing Engineer
Marsh Electronics (A MRA Member)

Since 1935, Marsh Electronics has built its reputation on quality, service, technical expertise, and customer-focused solutions. We're looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to help us improve the way we manufacture, test, and deliver products.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving problems, developing practical solutions, and driving improvements that impact safety, quality, cost, delivery, and efficiency.

What You'll Do
  • Support New Product Introduction: Participate in risk and feasibility assessments, review quotes, build and troubleshoot first articles, and work with customers and suppliers to ensure products are production-ready.
  • Improve Manufacturing Processes: Design fixtures, tooling, jigs, and manufacturing aids; troubleshoot production issues; and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost.
  • Lead Engineering Projects : Plan and execute process improvement and capital projects using Lean, PDCA, DMAIC, and other structured problem‑solving methods.
  • Support Production: Conduct process and job hazard assessments, coordinate preventive maintenance, support corrective actions, and train production employees on equipment, processes, safety, and efficiency.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field, with 4--5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620, PPAP, ISO 9001, statistics, gauge systems, and GD&T.
  • Electronics, wire/cable assembly, or related manufacturing experience
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot problems, lead improvement projects, develop tooling/fixtures, and work effectively with production teams, customers, suppliers, and cross-functional partners.
  • Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and project management skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as Infor.
Preferred Experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Robotics, automation, or programming experience.
  • Capital equipment or engineering project management experience.
