Job summary

Impact Staffing is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for a temporary, project-based assignment in Stone Mountain, GA to support the build out of a battery module rework assembly line. The engagement is approximately three months, with compensation of $35–$45 per hour.

The role balances office design work and floor-level implementation, requiring hands-on setup, tooling design, and documentation using AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Experience working in AutoCAD.
• Background in tooling design and work instruction development.
• Experience launching a new assembly line or supporting new product introduction.

Responsibilities

• Assist in standing up a new assembly line from the ground up.

• Source or build tooling as needed.
• Design and support installation of the battery module assembly line.
• Use AutoCAD to develop and document designs.

What You'll Do

You’ll play a hands-on role in standing up a new assembly line from the ground up.

• Support the build out of an assembly line for battery module rework

• Design, source, or build custom tooling
• Design and support installation of the battery module assembly line
• Work in AutoCAD to develop and document designs
• Split time roughly 50/50 between office design work and floor-level implementation

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering
• Experience working in AutoCAD
• Background in tooling design and work instruction development
• Experience launching a new assembly line or supporting new product introduction
