Job summary

Emerson in Stafford, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead improvements in manufacturing methods, layout, and equipment integration. You will analyze work processes, coordinate vendor specifications, and develop tooling to optimize efficiency and cost.

The role also includes training teams and ensuring safe operation of machinery. Required: Bachelor’s in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical engineering and ability to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space, workflow and equipment layout for efficiency.
• Confer with vendors to determine specifications and purchase equipment/materials.
• Estimate production needs, staffing and related costs for management decisions.
• Apply statistics to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
• Support manufacturing to ensure correct fabrication and assembly according to design.
• Develop equipment specs, performance requirements, cost analyses, and integration plans.
• Prepare quotations for fixtures, tools, and engineering requirements.
• Oversee installation to ensure machinery functions and effectiveness.
• Develop and conduct training on safe operation of equipment and demonstrate skills to trainees.
• Design complex tools and fixtures.

Emerson is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work on our facility in Stafford, TX, In this position, you will assume a leadership role in developing, evaluating and improving our company's manufacturing methods.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standard.
• Estimate production items, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
• Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
• Provide support to manufacturing to ensure product is fabricated and assembled based on the intended functionality of the design.
• Develop and write equipment specifications, performance requirements, cost analysis, and proposal for integrating machinery and equipment into manufacturing process.
• Prepare detailed quotations for fixture, tool, and engineering requirements to be used in developing a formal quote for customer.
• Oversee installation to ensure machines and equipment are installed and functioning.
• Develop and conduct training programs on the safe operations of the equipment, and demonstrate skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.
• Design complex tools and fixtures.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or any related engineering field
• Knowledge of cutting tools and their applications
