Job description

A lead defense contractor sitting in Petaluma, CA is looking to hire an onsite Sr. Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer. This person will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing systems and workflows, while assisting with Lean transformation initiatives. This person will be responsible for assisting in material optimization flow lines, laying out new facilities, process improvements, work bench stations, setting up lean lines, etc. The production volume across their business unit ranges between 1500-1800 units/month for 4 production lines. They're looking for this Engineer to help drive value stream efficiency, capacity planning, and strategic use of resources, ensuring alignment with business goals related to output, cost, quality, and lead time.

This role involves a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and project management capabilities to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. This role involves collaborating with internal and external teams to develop and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
