Job summary

Morales Professional is partnering with a growing aerospace-focused manufacturer in Paris, IL to hire a Manufacturing Engineer. You will drive new product introductions, develop manufacturing processes, and implement tooling to support operational excellence.

Lead cross-functional teams to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity across the product lifecycle. The role emphasizes solving complex manufacturing challenges, collaborating across departments, and delivering production-ready

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, product development, or NPI.
  • Experience in aerospace, sheet metal fabrication, metal manufacturing, or related industries preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and implement manufacturing processes and production methods for new and existing products.
  • Lead manufacturing activities related to NPI and production launches.
  • Coordinate project timelines, establish goals, train team members, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Design, develop, test, source, and justify tooling, equipment, and machinery to support manufacturing.
  • Analyze products and processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, and production teams for project execution.
  • Represent manufacturing on cross-functional teams and provide technical expertise throughout the lifecycle.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput, and safety.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing standards.
  • Support Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities across the facility.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time while meeting quality, cost, and performance objectives.

About the Role

  • Experience supporting aerospace, sheet metal fabrication, metal manufacturing, or related industries preferred
Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and production workflows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong computer proficiency and experience with engineering and manufacturing systems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Self-starter with a hands-on approach to solving manufacturing challenges

Pay range and compensation package

Pay: $80,000 a year
