Program Manager - Manufacturing

CACI is looking for a Lead Manufacturing Program Manager to join our Spectrum Superiority (S2) Line of Business, supporting our Optical & Photonic Systems team – we are expanding! The position will require a candidate with strong optical and/or electronics manufacturing experience and a passion to lead complex optical manufacturing programs. Our systems include high-speed electro-optics, fiber optics, and high-power lasers, that provide high-speed data communication across space and from space to ground, including links as far as 250 million miles away. Responsibilities:

  • The Lead Manufacturing Program Manager is responsible for program decisions, schedule, and Profit & Loss for the programs.
  • The Lead Manufacturing Program Manager is the primary interface to customers that are extremely technical, and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical ideas with the support of the technical and manufacturing team will be critical to success.
  • This position also requires the ability to implement evolving programmatic, production, and quality best practices within the team, and the ability to communicate with and influence executive leadership.
  • The position requires interfacing with technical development teams and working with them to Design For Manufacturing (DFM) and transition to high volume production.
  • A part of the role also includes participation in the Photonics organization's development of tactical and long-term strategic growth plans.

Qualifications: Required:

  • Five or more years of experience in a Program Management or other technical leadership role with a focus on the manufacture of highly complex optical and/or electronic products.
  • Thorough understanding of and experience in PM principles and best practices, including scope management, scheduling, cost management, and risk management.
  • Experience in successfully taking an electronics or optical system through an integrated product development process from product development to manufacture.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering, science, or business discipline.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project or other scheduling tool
  • Exemplary verbal/written communication skills required for interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as vendors, suppliers, customers, etc.
  • Experience managing programs over $10M in contract value.
  • Experience working on DoD or other similar Government programs
  • Experience managing programs to EVMS standards. PMP certification
  • Active Secret or above clearance is highly desired
  • Experience in a Program Management or other technical leadership role that involved the development of hardware deliverables that specifically included lasers, fiber optics, opto-electronics, or other photonic technology

The proposed salary range for this position is:
