Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing are preferred.
  • Experience in an industrial/high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and lean manufacturing is desirable.
  • Strong troubleshooting and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead process engineering efforts to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality using Six Sigma and lean methods.
  • Develop and update schematics and CAD models for manufacturing equipment and tooling (SolidWorks, Creo).
  • Program and troubleshoot industrial automation systems including robotics, CNC/CAM, vision systems, and PLCs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Design and optimize assembly line processes, including fabrication, welding, tooling, and mechanical/electrical assembly.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our production facilities. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate closely with design, production, quality, and maintenance teams to develop efficient solutions that meet industry standards such as ISO 9001 and implement lean manufacturing practices.

Essential Job Functions
  • Lead process engineering efforts to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality through process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and lean management.
  • Develop and update detailed schematics, CAD models (SolidWorks, Creo, CAD software), and technical documentation for manufacturing equipment and tooling.
  • Program and troubleshoot industrial automation systems including robotics, CNC machines (CNC programming, CAM programming), vision inspection systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in production lines or equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Design and optimize assembly line processes, including fabrication, welding, tooling, mechanical and electrical assembly operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project scheduling, project management, and new product introductions to ensure timely execution of engineering initiatives.
  • Perform engineering data analysis to support quality improvement programs and process validation efforts aligned with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Lead factory or manufacturing facility projects involving industrial equipment upgrades, automation integration, or continuous improvement strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance on GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), schematics interpretation, and mechanical troubleshooting for manufacturing operations.
  • Support manufacturing team leadership by providing training on new processes or equipment and fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing are preferred.
  • Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role within a high-volume production environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in process engineering tools such as CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo), CNC/CAM programming, robotics programming, industrial automation systems, and vision inspection systems.
  • Strong background in project scheduling, project management within manufacturing settings, root cause analysis, troubleshooting complex engineering issues, and implementing process improvements.
  • Familiarity with industry standards including ISO 9001; experience with factory or manufacturing facility operations is highly desirable.
  • Skilled in engineering troubleshooting related to mechanical systems, assembly lines, tooling fabrication, welding processes, CNC machining, and industrial automation solutions.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

This position is primarily performed in a professional office environment using standard office equipment, including computers, phones, printers, and filing systems. Occasional movement throughout the facility or visits to production or warehouse areas may occur. When entering production areas, employees are required to follow all posted safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
