ConMet’s Canton, NC plastics manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled, hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a fast-paced automotive environment. You will support daily plant operations with a focus on assembly, analyze processes, and drive efficiency across new and existing production lines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Industrial/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, hands-on manufacturing and assembly knowledge, and strong root-cause

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Manufacturing and Assembly processes experience.
• CNC programming experience preferred (training provided).
• Ultrasonic/Vibration Welding preferred (training provided).

Responsabilidades

• Provide engineering support for daily plant operations in an Automotive environment.
• Primary focus on assembly operations.
• Perform root cause analysis, process troubleshooting, and corrective action implementation, focusing on preventing recurring production, quality, and equipment issues.
• Analyze manufacturing operations and propose modifications to improve efficiency.
• Analyze workstations for ergonomics and safety.
• Analyze process flow and propose improvements for cost-efficiency.
• Develop cost-effective and robust production processes.

ConMet’s Canton, NC plastics manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled, hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer with excellent technical troubleshooting skills, a collaborative mindset, and a demonstrated ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve production issues in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an engineer who thrives on supporting manufacturing operations by analyzing processes and driving efficiency improvements across both new and existing production lines.

What You Will Do:

• Provide engineering support for daily plant operations in an Automotive environment.
• Primary focus on assembly operations
• Perform root cause analysis, process troubleshooting, and corrective action implementation, with a focus on preventing recurring production, quality, and equipment‑related issues.
• Perform analysis of manufacturing operations and propose modifications to improve operational efficiency.
• Analyze workstations for improved ergonomics and safety.
• Analyze process flow and propose improvements for increased cost‑efficiency.

What You Need to Be Successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering required
• Manufacturing and Assembly processes experience and knowledge
• CNC programming experience preferred, but not provided as training will be provided
• Ultrasonic/Vibration Welding preferred, but not required, as training will be provided

• Excellent base salary
• Targeted annual bonus is based on company performance to objectives during the fiscal plan year, which runs from October 1 – September 30.
