Job DescriptionJob DescriptionA well-established precision manufacturing company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead continuous improvement, support machine shop operations, and develop efficient, cost-effective production methods. The ideal candidate has a strong background in CNC machining environments, Lean Manufacturing, and process documentation.Responsibilities:

50% – Support Machine Shop Operations:

  • Provide hands-on support and technical direction to CNC operations and production teams.

  • Review and revise operation sheets and routing instructions.

  • Collaborate with planning and design staff to optimize tooling and manufacturability

25% – Drive Continuous Improvement:

  • Implement Lean and Six Sigma tools to optimize manufacturing and assembly processes.

  • Lead work simplification, tooling improvement, and workflow efficiency projects

  • Identify and drive cost reduction and cycle time improvements

25% – Process Documentation & Standardization:

  • Create and revise process documentation, SOPs, and manufacturing instructions.

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance.

  • Assist with fixture design and assembly test requirements

Key Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or technical equivalent)

  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing engineering within a high-precision, CNC-based machine shop

  • Solid understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and manufacturing process design

  • Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, planning, production, QA)

  • Strong project management and communication skills

  • Must be a U.S. Person ( or permanent )
