Job summary

6AM City, LLC is seeking a Welding Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer in a contract-to-hire role at its Wentzville, MO facility. You will engage with highly automated body shop operations, robots, and welding technologies to accelerate your engineering career.

You'll troubleshoot welding equipment, support robotics installations, and collaborate with maintenance, production, and quality teams to drive continuous improvements while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering or related technical field).
  • Manufacturing internship, co-op, project, or work experience.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime and rotating shifts when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting welding and automated production equipment.
  • Supporting robotic welding and joining systems.
  • Collaborating with Maintenance, Production, and Quality teams.
  • Identifying root causes of manufacturing issues.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Welding Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer, you'll serve as a technical resource supporting highly automated body shop operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting welding and automated production equipment
  • Supporting robotic welding and joining systems
  • Working closely with Maintenance, Production, and Quality teams
  • Identifying root causes of manufacturing issues
  • Improving welding and production processes
  • Supporting new robotics installations and automation upgrades
  • Coaching technicians on troubleshooting and process improvements
  • Driving continuous improvement projects
  • Monitoring production performance, quality, and equipment reliability
  • Helping maintain world-class safety and quality standards

Required

Pay and Benefits
