Job description

Manufacturing Engineer – Mascot (Knoxville), Tennessee

Lifetime Products Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Mascot (Knoxville) Tennessee. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes through Lean principles and recommending equipment for the blow molding production and logistics departments on all shifts as needed.

Must be self‑motivated, proactive, organized, have excellent communication skills, and maintain a good attitude towards teamwork and collaboration with all team members.

Essential Functions
  • Meet physical, visual, and dexterity requirements necessary to perform each position or rotation in each production process.
  • Stand for extended periods of time on a hard surface.
  • Perform each rotation or step in the production process timely to meet required cycle or production times, as modified from time to time.
  • Perform repetitive work.
  • Accept direction and communicate cooperatively and respectfully with supervisors and co‑workers.
  • Meet attendance and punctuality requirements.
  • Identify and report quality defects and raw material flaws.
  • Able to identify, report, and avoid unsafe working conditions.
  • Comply with Lifetime Product's policies prohibiting unlawful discrimination and harassment.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with production, logistics, maintenance, and processing teams.
  • Evaluate production floor layouts.
  • Analyze material flow.
  • Create and maintain routings and costing.
  • Develop processes to ensure efficiency.
  • Identify equipment needs.
  • Troubleshoot current production equipment.
  • Deploy new products.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET).
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical analysis, time studies, and manufacturing cost.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as routine reports and correspondence, safety rules, procedure manuals, and general business documents.
  • Proficient computer skills, including electronic mail, record keeping and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD; 3D CAD experience is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in front of groups and work in a team environment.
  • Lean manufacturing experience/certification is a plus.
