Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a prominent client, onsite in Maple Plain, MN. The role focuses on developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for soft-tissue repair device systems, with emphasis on DFM and transfer to high-volume production.

This contract position spans six months with potential extension or conversion. You will partner with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, support validations, and uphold

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or process engineering with lean/DMAIC.
• Strong CAD and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and optimization of manufacturing processes for devices.
• Drive design for manufacturability and transfer robust processes to high-volume production.
• Develop and validate equipment, fixtures, and tooling for assembly and inspection.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and improve output.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production challenges.
• Support validations, change controls, and ISO 13485/FDA QSR documentation.

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a prominent client of ours.

Pay and Contract

Pay Range: $30- 35/hr depending on experience.

Contract: 6 months with possible extension and/or conversion.

100% onsite in Maple Plain, MN.

Job Description

• Manage special projects and initiatives as assigned, driving them from planning through implementation and final completion.
• Lead development and optimization of manufacturing processes for soft-tissue repair device systems.
• Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and transfer of robust processes into high-volume production.
• Develop and validate equipment, fixtures, and tooling for assembly and inspection.
• Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve technical issues and improve output.
• Execute structured root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production challenges.
• Support process validations, change controls, and documentation in compliance with ISO 13485/FDA QSR.

Qualifications

• Engineering experience in manufacturing or process engineering, with an understanding of manufacturing metrics and continuous improvement tools (e.g., lean, DMAIC)
• Strong CAD and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with proven ability to successfully work with minimal supervision, good teamwork and interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication, ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet project deadlines with high attention to detail,
