Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer II

Location: Near Loudon, TN

Our client, a global industry leader with a world-class culture and processes, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II. This role involves applying comprehensive knowledge of materials, mechanical principles, engineering theory, and methods to design, integrate, and improve manufacturing systems and processes. The engineer may collaborate across departments to resolve issues, increase productivity, and reduce costs. Responsibilities may also include ancillary manufacturing functions such as BOM, automation, inventory management, and supporting factory expansion projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting ME techs and production staff in achieving departmental goals.
• Interpreting and applying dimensional relationships, tolerances, and drafting knowledge.
• Reviewing and improving work instructions for clarity.
• Assisting in prototyping and procurement of shop aids.
• Providing technical solutions for tooling, jigs, and fixtures design issues.
• Supporting manufacturing problem-solving efforts and quality investigations.
• Monitoring key process indicators and analyzing data to recommend improvements.
• Implementing continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, material handling, and safety procedures.
• Learning and applying manufacturing tools like VSM, Kaizen, and line balancing.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• 3-6 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, marine experience preferred
• Ability to interpret and create technical drawings; GD&T knowledge is a plus
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and ergonomic process design
• Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and project management
