Job summary

Allegiant Manufacturing, located in Kansas City, KS, is seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our metalworking team. If you have experience with laser cutting equipment and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

In this role you will support production by troubleshooting processes, lead continuous improvement, and help ensure quality parts while following safety standards. We offer competitive benefits, insurance after 60 days, holiday pay from day one, and a clear path

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a metal fabrication, stamping, or similar manufacturing environment.
• Experience with process improvement, troubleshooting, and project management.
• Working knowledge of CAD software and manufacturing equipment.
• Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support production by troubleshooting manufacturing processes and equipment.

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production standards.
• Manage engineering projects, including equipment installations and process improvements.

• Support new product launches and manufacturing planning activities.
• Analyze production data and downtime trends to improve overall equipment effectiveness.

What You'll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across departments.
• Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
• Frequent walking throughout the production facility.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and occasionally climb stairs or ladders.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to safely access and inspect manufacturing equipment.
• Visual ability to review production processes, equipment, and technical drawings.
