GE Vernova in Houston, TX seeks a Manufacturing Engineer (Gate 1 – Disassembly) to lead front-end teardown, defect identification, and process readiness for engine overhaul. You will support 160+ engines/year and 400+ modules/year, driving safety, quality, and cycle-time improvements across shop floors.
The role requires a Mechanical/Industrial/Aeronautical/Electrical engineering degree and 3+ years in manufacturing or MRO, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
The Manufacturing Engineer (Gate 1 – Disassembly) is responsible for driving safe, efficient, and predictable execution at the front end of the engine overhaul process. This role ensures proper teardown, defect identification, and process readiness to enable downstream gates.
This position supports the repair of 160+ engines/year and 400+ modules/year, contributing to ~$1B in annual revenue. The Manufacturing Engineer provides direct technical support to 180+ shop floor personnel and is accountable for eliminating engineering-related delays, improving turnaround time (TAT), and ensuring high-quality output from disassembly.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $76,300.00 and $114,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: ineligible.
