Job summary

NDC is seeking an engineer to improve manufacturing processes at its Greenville plant. You will design and develop new equipment, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness in operations.

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required, along with 1-3 years of engineering or manufacturing experience. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years in Engineering or related Manufacturing experience or internship preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and supervises the building, installation, and initial operation of new equipment.
  • Maintains operational follow-up on equipment designed to determine need for modifications.
  • Reviews plant manufacturing operation for potential areas of equipment improvements.

Job description

Responsible for applying engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products within a manufacturing plant environment.

Specific Duties
  • Designs, develops and supervises the building, installation and initial operation of new equipment to improve existing mechanical manufacturing processes in the Greenville plant.
  • Designs tools and dies as necessary and maintains drawings.
  • Maintains liaison with Manufacturing and Quality departments on machine design, practices and operations.
  • Maintains operational follow-up on equipment designed to determine need for modifications.
  • Reviews plant manufacturing operation for potential areas of equipment improvements for cost reduction consistent with development and equipment costs.
  • Furnishes prints and operating manuals for all equipment designed or installed.
  • Performs other duties as required.
