A technical staffing firm is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have a medical device background and strong problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include designing manufacturing processes, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with engineering teams. This is a W2 contract role for 6 months. Experience with Document Control Systems and Lean Manufacturing principles is required.

Note: Only Medical devices background required.

Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I with strong problem‑solving (DMAIC) skills, experience in Document Control Systems, ERP tools, and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and improve manufacturing processes, layouts, and workflows for assembly and production.
• Support process optimization and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive efficiency through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance product quality and equipment performance.

Education & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience (or prior site experience preferred).
