Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. in Georgia seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficient, high-quality production.

You will collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement and support new product introductions. Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3–7 years in manufacturing, with Lean/Six Sigma, CAD, and production planning experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or electrical engineering or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably switchgear or industrial equipment manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with process design, workflow optimization, and production planning.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs; maintain quality.
  • Collaborate with product design and engineering teams to support new product introductions, including process design, prototyping, and validation.

  • Partner with production, quality, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support new product introductions with process design and validation.
  • Conduct time studies and capacity planning to optimize lines.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and SOPs.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and mentor junior engineers.
  • Monitor metrics and drive data-driven improvements.

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production. This role partners with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement, support new product introductions, and solve complex production challenges.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in switchgear, electrical, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with process design, workflow optimization, and production planning.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.

  • Collaborate with product design and engineering teams to support new product introductions, including process design, prototyping, and validation.
  • Conduct time studies, workflow analyses, and capacity planning to optimize production lines.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, implement corrective actions, and provide technical support to production teams.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.
  • Support automation initiatives and evaluate new manufacturing technologies for feasibility and ROI.
  • Monitor production metrics and provide data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
  • Experience with automation, robotics, or smart manufacturing technologies.
  • Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, UL, or equivalent).
  • Ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
