Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for cost-effective production. You will work with production, quality, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement and support new product introductions.

The role requires a strong background in Lean/Six Sigma, CAD and simulation tools, and excellent cross-functional communication to ensure quality and efficiency across manufacturing lines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing or electrical engineering.
  • 3–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.
  • Experience with process design, workflow optimization, and production planning.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production. This role partners with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement, support new product introductions, and solve complex production challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in switchgear, electrical, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with process design, workflow optimization, and production planning.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards.
  • Collaborate with product design and engineering teams to support new product introductions, including process design, prototyping, and validation.
  • Conduct time studies, workflow analyses, and capacity planning to optimize production lines.
  • Monitor production metrics and provide data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
  • Experience with automation, robotics, or smart manufacturing technologies.
  • Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, UL, or equivalent).
  • Ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
