Job summary

Triple/S Dynamics is seeking a manufacturing/production engineer who will bridge engineering and the shop floor, ensuring designs are manufacturable and issues are resolved on the fly. You will collaborate with fabricators, assemblers, and vendors to eliminate problems and improve processes for repeatable, high-performance production.

You will replace a long-tenured problem solver and help build repeatable capabilities across the operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 4 years in manufacturing or production engineering.
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes (welding, machining, forming, assembly).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and weld symbols.
• Hands-on problem-solving mindset in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure designs are fully manufacturable before release.
• Act as the technical bridge between engineering and shop floor.
• Work with vendors to solve fabrication and assembly issues in real time.
• Drive reduction in rework, delays, and production inefficiencies.
• Create and maintain clear shop documentation.
• Improve workflows across assembly, paint, and test.
• Develop tooling, fixtures, and methods that speed production.
• Lead root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Support production teams with hands-on problem solving.
• Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

This is not a desk engineering role. This is where engineering meets reality.

At Triple/S Dynamics, this role owns the gap between design and production, ensuring that what gets engineered can actually be built efficiently, correctly, and repeatedly.

You will be on the floor, working with fabricators, assemblers, and vendors to eliminate problems, improve processes, and drive manufacturability into every job.

This role replaces a long-tenured problem solver who knew how to make things work. This role will build that capability into a repeatable, high-performance system.

What You’ll Own

• Ensuring engineering designs are fully manufacturable before release
• Acting as the technical bridge between engineering and the shop floor
• Working with vendors to solve fabrication and assembly issues in real time, not documenting them later
• Driving reduction in rework, delays, and production inefficiencies

Must-Haves

• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
• 3 years in manufacturing or production engineering
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes (welding, machining, forming, assembly)
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and weld symbols
• Hands‑on problem-solving mindset in a production environment

Strong Differentiators

• Experience in heavy equipment or capital equipment manufacturing
• Experience working directly with shop floor teams
• Conveyor or bulk material handling equipment familiarity
• Experience improving manufacturability, not just supporting it
• ERP/MRP and production documentation experience
