Job summary

Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the 3rd shift welding operations in East Moline, IL. The role focuses on maintaining uptime, troubleshooting MES and welding processes, and assisting operators and maintenance teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on welding experience with manual and robotic systems, preferably Fanuc, and can work independently in a fast-paced environment while communicating clearly in English.

Qualifications

• Experience with manual and robotic welding systems.
• Fanuc robotics welding experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for automated and manual manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous or changing situations.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to follow up on work tickets, action items, and team communications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Schedule

• Weekend coverage required based on production needs

Primary Responsibilities

• Support 3rd shift production operations to maintain uptime and productivity
• Assist operators, maintenance teams, and salaried staff with production issues
• Troubleshoot:
• MES (Manufacturing Execution System) issues
• Automated welding processes
• Manual welding processes
• Train operators on processes and equipment
• Support implementation and execution of new and existing manufacturing processes
• Develop and maintain process documentation
• Participate in process improvement and project-related activities

Required Skills & Qualifications
