Job summary

Actalent in Dublin, VA is seeking a contract Manufacturing Workforce Engineer to evaluate labor requirements, establish labor standards, and optimize manpower for high-volume production. The role focuses on standard work, time studies, and continuous improvement initiatives to boost safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

You will support new product launches, analyze processes, and partner with Operations, Engineering, and Materials teams to meet daily goals, using Lean and Six

Qualifications

  • Evaluate labor requirements and determine optimal workforce levels for production operations.
  • Develop and maintain labor standards using MTM, MOST, MCTM, or other predetermined time systems.
  • Analyze production processes, line balance, staffing models, and workstation utilization.
  • Drive manpower optimization and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct time studies and establish standard work procedures.
  • Support new product launches, process changes, and manufacturing trials.
  • Improve material flow and plant efficiency through Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities through improved process design and workforce allocation.
  • Use data analysis to drive decisions related to staffing, production capacity, and operational performance.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Materials teams to support daily production goals.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Job description

This position is responsible for evaluating workforce requirements, establishing labor standards, optimizing manpower utilization, and improving manufacturing efficiency within a high-volume production environment. The engineer will analyze production processes, determine staffing levels, balance workloads, develop standard work, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Dublin, VA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $47.50/hr.
