Position Summary

An industry‑leading equipment manufacturer is looking for a Manufacturing / Robotic Engineer to take ownership of programming, optimizing, and supporting robotic welding and automation systems. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on hands‑on work, structured process improvement, and driving real operational gains across the shop floor.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to improve weld automation performance, support preventive maintenance, and ensure consistent, high‑quality output. If you love robotics, welding automation, and continuous improvement, this role offers the chance to make a major impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program robotic welding systems, material handling robotics, and cobots
  • Develop and optimize weld processes for automated systems
  • Update programs and robot paths as required
  • Monitor processes for efficiency and identify improvement opportunities
  • Support production with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Diagnose robotic equipment and operational issues
  • Create short- and long‑term solutions to automation challenges
  • Eliminate waste and non‑value‑added activities from weld processes
  • Develop system operation guides and job aids
  • Train operators on best practices and quick‑touch adjustments
  • Own OEE reporting for automation systems
  • Define best‑in‑class processes, fixturing, and equipment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) or Mechanical Engineering (ME) or a relevant engineering field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of robotic welding programming experience.
