PACCAR is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Chillicothe, OH on the evening shift. The role provides tooling and manufacturing engineering support, analyzes facilities and production processes, and recommends actions to improve efficiency, capability, and cost.

You will contribute to Six Sigma initiatives and drive safety and productivity improvements. The position focuses on design for assembly, capital projects, production process validation, and translating design changes into manufacturing

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent required.
• Strong problem solving and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design and procure assembly aides and fixtures.
• Assist in directing tool and fabrication repair efforts during assigned shift.
• Investigate, propose, and implement improvements to the facility, equipment, and processes to improve quality, optimize process flow, increase productivity, and reduce costs.
• Develop and validate production processes, generating process documentation for critical assembly processes.
• Actively participate in and support cost reduction, warranty reduction, Six Sigma, internal audit, and other plant initiatives.
• Improve safety and ergonomic practices.
• Develop, propose, and implement Capital Budget projects.
• Review proposed engineering designs for manufacturing feasibility and recommend revisions as necessary to ensure Design for Assembly.
• Plan for and support production implementation of new product introductions necessitated by design changes.
• Provide daily problem resolution support for production operations.
• Keep customers, managers, and peers informed of work progress, activities, problems, or opportunities of which they should be aware

Summary

Provides Tooling and Manufacturing Engineering support to assigned departments. Studies facilities and production processes, making recommendations to improve production efficiency, enhance process capability, and reduce manufacturing costs under general supervision. This position is on evening shift.
