Job summary

Axion Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading metal processing company in Camden, SC. You will develop and improve manufacturing processes, support production operations and drive continuous improvement across powder coating, assembly and metal fabrication.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, strong GD&T and CAD experience, and familiarity with MRP/MRPII systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with MRP/MRPII systems.
• Familiarity with powder coating, sheet metal or metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, tooling and production workflows.
• Support powder coating, assembly and metal fabrication operations.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and technical specifications.
• Create and maintain routings, bills of materials and manufacturing documentation.
• Support production planning using MRP/MRPII systems.
• Participate in FMEA and manufacturing risk assessments.
• Design tools and fixtures for welded component assembly.
• Investigate production issues and support root cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality and Supply Chain teams.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• CAD software experience
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with SPC, welding processes or cost analysis is an advantage
