Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related engineering field.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing.
  • Experience with NPI and production launch activities.
  • Strong understanding of shop orders, manufacturing routers, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead NPI activities from prototype through production release.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize shop orders, routers, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering support for electromechanical assembly and testing operations.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production to ensure manufacturability and readiness.
  • Analyze production issues and implement corrective actions using RCA methodologies.
  • Support production and testing of PCBs, electronic assemblies, and aerospace components.
  • Troubleshoot analog and digital electronics issues.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes for AC/DC and brushless motor control systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement for quality, productivity, cost reduction, and efficiency.
  • Participate in design reviews to provide manufacturing feedback.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support aerospace manufacturing operations and new product development initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing process development, shop floor support, and continuous improvement activities. This position requires strong technical expertise in electromechanical assemblies, electronics manufacturing, testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to ensure products are manufactured efficiently while meeting quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from prototype through production release.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Shop Orders, Manufacturing Routers, Work Instructions, and Process Documentation.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering support for electromechanical assembly and testing operations.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams to ensure manufacturability and process readiness.
  • Analyze production issues and implement corrective actions using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
  • Support manufacturing and testing of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), electronic assemblies, and aerospace components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to analog and digital electronic circuits.
  • Assist in the development, validation, and improvement of manufacturing processes for AC, DC, and Brushless Motor Control Systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, cost reduction, and process efficiency.
  • Participate in design reviews to provide manufacturing and assembly feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, manufacturing procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Support production readiness reviews, process validations, and first article inspections.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within Aerospace, Defense, Electronics, or High-Tech Manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and production launch activities.
  • Strong understanding of Shop Orders, Manufacturing Routers, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Manufacturing Documentation.
  • Experience supporting Electromechanical Assembly and Test operations.
  • Knowledge of PCB Design, Circuit Board Testing, and Electronic Manufacturing Processes.
  • Working knowledge of Analog and Digital Electronics.
  • Experience with AC/DC Motors, Brushless Motor Controls, and Electrical Systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) skills.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Aerospace & Defense manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience supporting qualification testing, validation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of aerospace quality standards such as AS9100.
