We are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to own the processes behind military-grade electronic systems, from PCB assemblies and cable harnesses to complete chassis-level systems. You'll make sure every unit we build, test, repair, and sustain meets the strict quality and reliability standards our defense customers count on.
If you like solving real problems on the production floor, leading root cause investigations, and seeing your process improvements show up in yield and quality, this role is for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes for PCBAs, cable/harness, electromechanical/electro-optical assemblies, and chassis-level systems
- Create and maintain work instructions, process flows, routings, travelers, and BOMs
- Support low- to mid-volume, high-reliability defense production
- Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement to raise quality, yield, and efficiency
- Provide engineering support for assembly, troubleshooting, rework, and repair, including depot-level and field returns
- Lead failure analysis and root cause and corrective action (RCCA) investigations
- Partner with test engineering on functional, environmental, and acceptance test procedures
- Keep processes compliant with IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721, J-STD-001, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-883 (as applicable), and AS9100 / ISO 9001
- Support internal, customer, and government audits, and disposition nonconformances, deviations, and waivers
- Maintain configuration control, implement ECOs, and work with design engineering on DFM/DFA/DFT
- Support NPI and production transitions alongside design, quality, supply chain, test, and program management
