Job summary

Guardian Glass in DeWitt, IA is seeking an EHS Specialist to protect workers and improve safety across our manufacturing facility. You will partner with operations, maintenance, engineering and leadership to identify risk, drive critical safety programs, and build EHS capability.

You’ll focus on Health & Safety with exposure to environmental activities, develop training, lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and help translate evolving regulations into practical site solutions.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in EHS, safety, or related industrial setting.
• Experience communicating and partnering with employees, supervisors, and leaders to drive safety improvements.

Responsibilities

• Spend time in the field to understand plant processes and tasks.
• Help implement and sustain OSHA and other EHS regulations with operations.
• Support and improve critical health and safety programs (LOTO, machine safety, fall protection, PPE).
• Facilitate risk assessments for routine and non-routine work.
• Support incident investigations and develop corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver practical EHS training for employees and supervision.
• Partner with teams to build health and safety capability and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and proactive risk-reduction activities.
• Contribute to EHS considerations for new equipment and process changes.
• Develop and maintain EHS programs, procedures, and documentation.
• Stay current with evolving EHS regulations and translate into practical site solutions.
• Provide support for environmental compliance activities as needed.
