Job summary

Godshall Recruiting is seeking a cost accounting professional for a direct-hire role in Spartanburg, SC. The position focuses on standard and actual cost analysis, inventory valuation, MAP maintenance, and COGS analysis within a manufacturing/distribution environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of cost accounting experience, advanced Excel (x-lookup, v-lookup, sum if), and SAP familiarity. You will collaborate with Production, Purchasing and Warehouse teams to drive cost improvements and

• 2+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• Advanced Excel knowledge including x-lookup, v-lookup, and sum if.
• SAP proficiency a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Standard cost and actual cost analysis.
• Inventory valuation
• Review, analysis, correction, and maintenance of Moving Average Prices (MAP)
• Material, Labor, and Overhead variance analysis
• Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) analysis
• Month-end and year-end closing support
• Physical inventory and audit support
• Planning, analysis, and continuous improvement of Cycle Count programs
• Inventory reconciliation between SAP and physical inventory
• Slow-moving and obsolete inventory analysis
• Support and maintenance of SAP master data
• Review of BOM, Routing, and Production Order related data
• Collaboration with Production, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to improve cost performance
• Continuous improvement of cost accounting and inventory management processes
