Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant with manufacturing cost experience and SAP proficiency to support cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard cost setting for our production operations.

The role includes daily AP/AR/GL processing, monthly close activities, budgeting, forecasting, and data preparation for year-end audits, with emphasis on cost control and cost-savings opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong cost accounting knowledge with manufacturing cost experience.
• Experience in setting standard costs for manufactured products.
• Proficiency with SAP and cost analysis methods.
• Ability to support month-end/ year-end close and audits.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate cost accounting for products, inventory valuation and cost analyses; set standard costs.
• Monthly analysis of manufacturing costs, variances and absorption.
• Daily processing of AP invoices with GL coding and cost-saving reviews.
• Daily processing of electronic sales invoices.
• Daily processing of AR cash collections and applications.
• Monthly GL account reconciliations for accruals and prepaids.
• Assist in monthly closing with journal entries and data preparation.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist in year-end data preparation for audits.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Senior Cost Accountant-

Must have Manufacturing cost + SAP

We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant who will be responsible for applying strong cost accounting knowledge in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles to keep company management informed with accurate product cost information used in decision making. Additional
responsibilities include routine Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger functions and analyses performed on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
The ideal candidate will be able to successfully perform a variety of accounting functions while specializing in cost accounting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for maintaining accurate Cost Accounting for products, inventory valuation and cost analyses. Setting standard costs for manufactured products.
• Monthly analysis of manufacturing costs, variances, and absorption.
• Daily processing of Accounts Payable invoices including GL account coding, reviewing for cost savings, and filing electronically.
• Daily processing of Sales invoices (electronic).
• Daily processing of AR cash collections/applications.
• Monthly GL account reconciliations for accruals, prepaids, bank accounts, etc.
• Assist in the monthly closing function including journal entry preparation.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process.
• Assist in preparing data for year-end financial audit.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
